RECRUITING WORKSHEET

1. You should be doing a college search for all the schools that fit your situation.

2. Check these schools(100-150) and their volleyball programs.  Do they offer athletic scholarships?  Do they combine academic and athletic aid?  Is there anything else that matters?

3. Start with e-mails to those schools that interest you.  Be specific in your contact with coaches.  Outline your interest and skills.  Include a practice and playing schedule, your coaches contact info and anything else that may catch attention.  NO MASS E-mails.

4. Invite coaches to see you play at President's Day Cup.

5. Repeat step 3 every couple of weeks and include a video with a link in an e-mail for the coach to EASILY access it.

6. 2011, 2012 and 2013 grads start to set up campus visits.  These will be unofficial, you will pay the expenses, but you want to meet the coach not just a campus tour through admissions.

7. Coaches will be trying to get commitments from Juniors in April and May.  They are always trying to fill last minute vacancies for Seniors, do not wait these are time sensitive and will go to someone fast.  Some colleges are finished with 2012 grads and are on 2013 so it is NOT too early.
