You will only be offered a position with one age group.
FAQ - Do I have to pay for each tryout I attend?
There is only one tryout fee per year. That fee covers you for National/American/Regional and multiple age groups. You will only get one shirt so please bring it to all tryouts.
FAQ - Do I have to attend all tryout sessions.
No you are not required to attend all sessions. Players who do attend all the sessions have a better chance to be evaluated correctly. Attending the last day of the tryout is by far the most important day to attend. This is even more true for players who have not played with us before.
FAQ - What if I can not attend any of the tryouts but still would like to be play?
In very special situations it is possible. If you are unable to attend due to reasons beyound your control then let Ernie Gilbert know before the tryouts start what the situation is and he can give you further information. Some reasons that might be acceptable, injury, death in the family, school functions.
FAQ - What does the Nat, Amer, and Reg mean behind the age.
Nat = National Division
These teams practice 3 days a week and have a stronger tournament schedule with more travel requirements. Intended for players who want to play at the highest level and attend a large season ending tournament. Regular season tournaments are often in Louisville, Indianapolis, Muncie, Cincinnatti, Columbus, Toledo, and Cleveland areas.
Amer = American Division
These teams practice 2 days a week and most of their tournaments are in Ohio but potential exists to play in some larger two day events in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. Tournament schedule will be stronger than Regional level teams but less than National level teams.
Reg = Regional Division
These teams practice 2 days a week and most of their tournaments will be in Ohio with an attempt to keep them 1 day events within 1 to 2 hours of Dayton. This may not always be possible but we will try. Regional teams are intended for those who want good competition but might not want to commit to the additional time and money of a National team.
